Confidence through performance

The Oxfordshire Performers Club aims to give adult amateur musicians the opportunity to gain confidence in performing, in the company of other musicians, family and friends. We welcome learners and experienced players alike.

People who take up an instrument or singing later in life can find it difficult to get performance practice. We provide a forum where adult learners (16 and over) can perform in a friendly and supportive environment. More experienced players might want to try out pieces they have been working on, or perform some solo or small ensemble pieces. Preference will be given to classical musicians as jazz clubs and folk clubs already provide a similar experience for these genres.

We meet every few weeks on Sunday afternoons, from 3pm to 5pm, at various locations in Oxfordshire. Instrumentalists or singers of any level are welcome, as are friends and family who would like to hear you perform. Concerts last about an hour, and are followed with a break for refreshments and socialising. There is no entry fee, or club membership fee, but there will be a retiring collection. Please donate around £5 – this will cover the costs of the room hire, website and poster printing costs. Any surplus from the collections will be donated to musical charities.

Please go to the Contacts page and send a message so we can keep you in touch with future dates and concert programmes. Go to How to Book a Slot if you would like to perform. You can also find us on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/oxfordshireperformersclub
